Never judge a mare by her name – Stormy is a thoroughly calm horse who often volunteers as a therapy animal, sticking her large chestnut head into retirement homes, homeless shelters and children’s hospitals to bring a smile to those in need. If you do welcome this gentle girl into your home, make sure you have some oats on hand as Stormy can’t get enough of them. Anzac bickies are a particular favourite but Stormy certainly doesn’t need Anzac Day as an excuse to gobble them up.
